The ABC Regional & Local team is about Australian communities and conversations.  We make distinctive stories and events that connect communities and shape lives.  We are about real people, real places and real life.  We have eight capital city radio stations and a network of 44 regional bureaux across Australia.  Our Sport and Live Events team focuses on regional and local content for all our platforms, including TV, Radio and online.

About the Role

ABC has a vacancy for a highly motivated coordinator to provide administration and support to Regional & Local, with a particular focus on its NSW Regional team.

As the Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for rostering, financial and resource administration, special projects and assistance/support as needed. You will also keep abreast of ABC policies and procedures and provide routine advice to staff as required.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Checking and accurately putting information into the roster plan and timesheet, ensuring payments are correct and in line with ABC policy
• Processing local invoices, payments and accounts
• Under direction of the Lead Unit Manager, monitor budget performance and variances, review line items and pay summaries, and prepare monthly forecast/accruals/journals
• Assisting with creation of travel plans and accommodation requirements

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Unit Coordinator with:

• Previous experience as an office administrator
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organisation skills and ability to work unsupervised
• Confidence using MS Office suite and SAP Finance/HR at an advanced level
