We are looking for a Research Engineer to design, develop and coordinate the timely fabrication of a number of devices and systems that are associated with the banknote authentication and quality assurance processes. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a unique job function, developing equipment to assist with the quality and authentication of Australia’s currency. You will work independently in running projects and managing your time to deliver these projects, which will prove to be challenging but also rewarding. Within this role you will be responsible for the following:
Your team
Reporting into the Manager of Research Projects, you will work in a team made up of Research Scientists and Engineers.
Your background
We seek individuals that could come from a broad range of backgrounds, including robotics, mechanical/electronic or mechatronic engineering in a university, small engineering firm or otherwise. You will have strong experience in programming, integration, design and fabrication and experience in optoelectronic sensor technologies or related would be highly desirable.
