Reception, Stores and Logistics Officer 

  • Key coordination role for CSIRO Business and Infrastructure Services
  • Take responsibility for all Stores activities and management of fleet vehicles
  • Provide valuable support to the reception and facilities teams in the Region

The position:

In the role of Reception, Stores and Logistics Officer with CSIRO Business and Infrastructure Services (CBIS), you will undertake tasks relating to a broad range of functions at one or more sites in the Sydney/NSW Region. Particular focus will be on:

  • Reception
  • Stores
  • Mail & freight
  • Waste management
  • Fleet administration
  • Logistical support

Working closely with CBIS facilities staff from the Region, you will support day-to-day operations and participate in the provision of efficient and effective services in support of the general facilities management.  You will deliver high quality administrative support to CBIS and form strong and productive relationships with customers and staff.

Specifically you will:

  • Coordinate the stores day-to-day operations and provide high quality stores and logistics service to staff, customers and business partners.
  • Ensure appropriate inventory control in the store and develop and maintain stores operating procedures.
  • Receive and dispatch all material goods through the store, and coordinate the internal dispatch and pick-up of goods in-line with agreed terms.
  • Ensure the safe provision of fork/pallet lift requirements.
  • Provide support for reception in the Sydney/South region.
  • Provide administrative support and coordination with respect to the vehicle fleet, arrange upkeep and maintenance of fleet vehicles, and act as onsite fleet contact.
  • Coordinate and/or assist with the delivery of logistic and site services such as waste management and other services.

Location:      North Ryde (Sydney) New South Wales
Salary:          AU $45k to AU $59k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation

As a minimum requirement, you will hold a current forklift ticket and a Class ‘C’ Australian driver’s licence. You will also have:

  • Sound keyboard skills and knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Good communication skills and a history of professional behaviours.
  • Sound knowledge of Stores and Logistics and experience working in reception and/or administration in a customer service oriented environment.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
  • The ability to find appropriate solutions to routine problems and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
