The position:
At CSIRO Health and Biosecurity, we’re looking for a highly motivated Research Scientist to help us develop a novel translational theranostics research program. Contributing to multiple aspects of the program, you will build biomedical innovation in precision medicine across CSIRO and our academic and industry partners. You will play an integral role in the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AeHRC) Medical Image Analysis team and help facilitate the transition of technologies into the AeHRC research program.
From the early discovery and development phase to validation of targets in preclinical and clinical imaging studies, you will work closely with the Leader of the Probing Biosystems Future Science Platform (FSP) and a dedicated team of researchers and academic collaborators. You will develop new medical technologies and therapeutics and also assist in the translation of technologies with commercial partners.

To be considered for this research position, you will hold a doctorate and have significant research experience in a relevant discipline area, such as medical imaging (MRI and PET), image processing (PET quantitation and pharmacokinetic modelling), or small biomolecule imaging, along with a background in statistical analysis of preclinical and clinical studies.
