The Opportunity
As the Executive Officer for CSIRO’s Growth Sector, you will play an integral role in the Leadership team, providing high level support in the management, strategy and administration of the Office of the Executive Director, Growth. This hands-on role requires a proactive, resilient individual with strong communication and planning skills. Using your unique ability to efficiently prioritise a large number of complex and competing issues, you will manage and deliver projects and tasks within rapidly changing timeframes.
For success in this role, you will think strategically, operationally and analytically, and have a proven capacity to work within a senior management team in a complex organisational environment. You will be highly flexible, possess a “can do/will find a way to do” attitude and maintain a positive outlook when working in a challenging and fast moving environment, both inside CSIRO and externally.
Working closely with the Executive Director (ED) and the leadership team, you will manage the sector’s strategic and operational planning processes and monitor the Sector’s performance. Drawing on your strong problem solving skills, you will support the Executive Director in identifying and resolving issues, as well as recognising opportunities for improvement across the Growth Sector. On occasion you may be required to formally represent the Chief Operating Officer.
The role will involve domestic travel on an as needs basis.

Salary: AU $111k – AU $130k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation
