The Position
The Australian Animal Health Laboratory (AAHL) has an exciting new position for an experienced Research Scientist to join a project team working on foot and mouth disease (FMD) virus.
AAHL seeks to appoint a qualified research scientist with demonstrated experience in virology, immunology and molecular biology to assist in the management and execution of the FMD Ready Project. The primary focus will be to participate in the project activities, manage the offshore activities and provide leadership to staff and students.
The project work will be executed mostly offshore as it is not possible to import live FMD virus into Australia. The candidate must therefore be willing to spend long periods abroad working in countries where there are collaborative agreements.

Location: AAHL (Geelong) VIC, Australia
Salary: AU$97k- AU$105k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
