Enterprise Risk Manager

As the Enterprise Risk Manager with CSIRO Governance, you will be responsible for providing expertise in best practice risk management.  Your work will contribute to the effectiveness of CSIRO’s risk management framework in both design and application across the organisation.

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Risk, you will provide to the organisation:

  • Knowledge of contemporary and emerging risk management frameworks.
  • Facilitation of the CSIRO Organisational Risk Profile.
  • Stakeholder support, including formal risk facilitation across all levels of the organisation.
  • Support in responding to any critical incidents that may impact CSIRO.

More specifically, you will

  • Assist with the integration of risk into the organisation’s operations.
  • Contribute to the development of the Organisational Risk Profile including on-going monitoring and review.
  • Contribute to the development and review of risk assessment processes.
  • Document processes, controls and procedures in support of risk assignments.
  • Facilitate risk discussions and workshops.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key risk stakeholders.

Location: Negotiable – Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra
Salary:    AU $97k to AU $105k per annum, plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and/or have equivalent management/leadership experience in a relevant area.  You will also have:

  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, and a history of professional behaviours.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in risk assessment, enterprise wide risk management and risk facilitation, Business Continuity Management, or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of risk management policies, standards AS/NZS ISO 31000:2009, methodologies and relevant legislative framework.
  • A clear understanding of organisational and strategic perspective and linkages with Risk Management.
  • The ability to evaluate, interpret and synthesise complex information and draw logical conclusions and linkages.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively both internally and externally.
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to readily adapt to changing circumstances.
  • If successful, the ability and willingness to gain a baseline security clearance.
