The Opportunity

  • Kick-start your research career at CSIRO – Australia’s premier research organisation
  • Play a leading role in characterising a newly-discovered member of the immune system
  • Join a cross-disciplinary team with a track record of delivering translational research

As a Postdoctoral Fellow on our team, you will take the lead exploring the role of C6orf106 in diseases associated with cytokine production and the mechanism by which this occurs

Your duties will include

  • Carrying out innovative, impactful research of strategic importance to CSIRO that will, where possible, lead to novel and important scientific outcomes.
  • Recognising and exploiting opportunities for innovation and the generation of new theoretical perspectives, and progress opportunities for the further development or creation of new lines of research.
  • Utilising design thinking methodology to plan and prepare research proposals, and apply non-academic impact methodology to research projects.
  • Carrying out research investigations requiring originality, creativity and innovation.
