Executive Manager - Organisational Effectiveness

An exciting opportunity exists to join our leading science and technology organisation in this newly created role of Executive Manager - Organisational Effectiveness. This role works across the People function and broader organisation, building deep partnerships, leveraging data and insights to shape a culture strategy contributing to the broader People Strategy. In this role you will provide strategic leadership in your area of expertise and contribute to the overall leadership across the People function in line with our core purpose.  You will come to this role with proven experience in driving enterprise wide cultural strategy and delivering change. You will draw on expertise in culture, engagement, organisational change and organisational design levers together with broader organisational development knowledge helping to craft to the environment for a contemporary CSIRO for the next 100 years.

Your duties will include:
  • Leading the design, development and iteration of CSIRO culture strategy and planning, including outlining the priority interventions.
  • Through strong partnership, overseeing and governing the implementation, embedding and evolution of interventions.
  • Ensuring pragmatic and fit for purpose tools and methodologies of culture, engagement, organisational development, design and change to enable realisation of the desired culture.
  • Ensuring the Culture strategy is integrated with respective strategies across Leadership, Capability, Talent, Diversity and Inclusion, and broader the CSIRO People Experience. 

Location: Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne
Salary: AU$136k - AU$150k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:
  • A tertiary qualification in Organisational Psychology or related discipline, in conjunction with demonstrated achievement in advisory and managerial roles.
  • A strong track record of effectively initiating and implementing organisational cultural change.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment whilst delivery outcomes.
  • A strong history of establishing and working effectively in teams, and a record of leadership which encourages new ideas, builds trust and provides support for the development of emerging skills, including influencing staff in observing corporate and professional standards.
  • A significant record of innovation and creativity plus the ability and willingness to incorporate and/or promote the inclusion of novel ideas and approaches into the Organisation.
