CSIRO’s Manufacturing is seeking to appoint a Biomedical Polymers Research Scientist/ Engineer.
As the successful candidate you will work as part of a team liaising with industry to develop biomaterials and medical devices. You will engage with prospective clients, prepare research proposals, undertake research projects, as well as review and report on the outcomes. Experimental work is likely to involve the design, synthesis and characterization of novel monomers and polymers, and their fabrication into medical devices as well as assessing the performance of the medical devices.
Location: Clayton VIC
Salary: *CSOF5 - AU$98k – AU$106k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
* CSOF6 - AU$113k to AU$132k pa (pro-rata for part-time) + up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified term of 12 months
