Health Statistician
CSIRO Health and Biosecurity is seeking a Health Statistician to join the Health Systems Analytics group - a growing team contributing towards significant research goals and delivering impact on national and international health policy. This group is part of the Australian eHealth Research Centre, CSIRO’s Digital Health Research program, and conducts high impact research in the domains of Health Intelligence and Health Implementation Science.
In this diverse role, you will solve varied and challenging real world scientific problems through the development and application of statistical modelling. By developing and applying statistical methodology, you will contribute to solving problems in the health domain. You will drive evidence-based health care by contributing to theories, statistical tools and techniques for health data analytics projects.
The scientific problems that arise in Health Systems Analytics are varied and challenging, requiring strong mathematical and statistical grounding. As the successful candidate, you will be enthusiastic about making a hands-on contribution to solving research challenges and will have established expertise in the development and application of statistical modelling for solving real world problems.
Please note we are recruiting two positions, one senior research scientist and one research scientist. The senior research scientist is also currently advertised.

Salary: AU$100k - AU$108k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
