As a Secretariat Advisor in CSIRO, you will support the Policy Manager to provide high quality secretariat services to CSIRO management, enabling high-quality decision making and provision of advice. You will achieve this through preparing high-quality committee materials and supporting documentation, Supporting CSIRO Business Units and Missions in the management of their Advisory Groups and coordinating Governance reporting to the Audit Risk and Advisory Committee (ARCC), including Governance requests for information from CSIRO.

Your duties will include:

  • Coordinating various Committee meetings, including assisting in the development of forwarding calendar and agendas, maintaining templates, decision register and support materials on the intranet, collating papers and reporting, assisting in the preparation of minutes and briefs to the Executive Team, and managing action items. 
  • Working across Governance to coordinate reporting requirements and assist in maintaining the Governance calendar. 
  • Assisting the Executive Team and the CSIRO Board Secretariat to facilitate coordination of meetings and reporting across CSIRO. 
  • Working with Business Units and CSIRO Missions to support CSIRO Advisory Groups by assisting in providing advice on governance, maintaining templates, and support materials on the intranet as well as maintaining a register of Advisory Group members and publishing to csiro.au

Location: Black Mountain, ACT or Clayton, VIC
Salary: AU$100k - AU$108k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
Tenure: Specified term of 12 months

To be considered you will need:

  • Experience in preparing committee papers/briefs and minute taking.
  • Relevant experience in managing multiple competing deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including for a range of stakeholders and for senior executive forums. 
  • The ability to distil and articulate complex materials in a concise and straight forward manner.
  • Experience in Policy, Audit, Risk and/or Compliance areas is highly desired

Eligibility

To be appointed to this position you must be an Australian Citizen willing to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance at the Baseline level.
