CSIRO acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land, sea and waters, of the area that we live and work on across Australia. We acknowledge their continuing connection to their culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present. View our vision towards reconciliation.
At CSIRO, we solve the greatest challenges through innovative science and technology. We are Australia's national science agency and innovation catalyst, collaborating to boost Australia's innovation performance. We have partnered with the Bureau of Meteorology, Geoscience Australia, and the Australian Bureau of Statistics in creating the newly established Australian Climate Service (ACS) to address recommendations into National Natural Hazard Arrangements. It brings together Australia’s leading climate and natural disaster information and expertise in a customer-led and mission-focussed national capability.
A number of newly created roles are available to support the delivery of the ACS complex portfolio of projects, and will be part of the CSIRO Land & Water (L&W) unit. Through an integrated systems research approach, CSIRO L&W provides the information and technologies required by government, industry and the Australian & international communities to protect, restore, and manage natural and built environments.
The Integration Modeller will play a key role in designing, developing and linking the various frameworks and modelling technologies of the ACS research portfolio to generate different integrated scenarios and place-based situational contexts to evaluate the performance of a range of combinations of investments, policies and mechanisms. They will work closely with the leadership team of the project portfolio to ensure the efficient integration and alignment of the various modelling approaches with the wider digital tools and platforms being developed.
