This is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the design of Victoria's mental health system.

Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.
This position is located at the Community Forensic Mental Health Service (CFMHS) in Clifton Hill, 15 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD. CFMHS is a specialist state-wide agency that works with individuals who have a serious mental health illness and have offended, or are at risk of offending.

About the role

Forensicare has received ongoing funding from the Victorian Government for a significant expansion of its Problem Behaviour Program (PBP).The PBP is an internationally recognised service assessing and treating high risk offenders and those at risk of offending due to identified problem behaviours.   This position will lead the planning, coordination and implementation of the project to establish an expanded PBP.

Duties:

  • Lead the Expansion Project in collaboration with senior staff including those with clinical expertise.
  • Ensure the development of a service delivery model.
  • Oversee planning for recruitment and infrastructure.
  • Develop key communications for critical stakeholders.

Skills and experience

You will need to:

  • Have experience in project management within the public health or government sector.
  • Have the capacity to problem solve, source, analyse and report information.
  • Be able to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have highly developed written communication skills across a range of outputs and audiences.
  • Possess relevant tertiary qualifications in mental health or a related field.
