About the role

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our NAL team. The successful candidate will work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to closely manage various NAL research projects, focusing on the schedule and cost.    

The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Working closely with research area heads and project leads to ensure that all aspects of the project are successfully managed
  • Managing project plans, schedules, resources, budgets and expenditures using standard project-tracking software
  • Ensuring projects adhere to the PMO framework and all documentation is completed for each project
  • Organising, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings where appropriate
  • Documenting and following up on actions where required
  • Documenting and managing risks by being pre-emptive
  • Providing regular feedback to senior management on the status of projects and flagging any potential issues and risk ahead of time

The successful candidate must have:

  • 3+ years of experience in a project management role
  • Prince2 or similar project management qualification
  • Experience working in a research environment desirable
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Competency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with standard project management software
