Senior Management Accountant

There is an opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join the Tourism Australia Finance team. The Management Accountant responsible for the production of insightful management reporting, driving the budgeting and forecast process and communicating with key stakeholders both internal and external.

With high motivation and energy, you will be required to: 
  • Support and partner with finance teams and our stakeholders with monthly and quarterly reporting requirements and analysis including preparing periodical financial and business reporting.
  • Partner with our business units’ GMs to analyse data (budget variance), prepare ad hoc business financial reports to assist decision makings
  • Facilitate and lead the quarterly and annual budget and reforecasts process.
  • Overall manage the month end closing process for reporting
  • Develop, design and maintain management accounting reports in Power Bi and Excel (using TA’s BI Tool) and make all the necessary adjustments to meet the changes required by management
  • Prepare annual financial statements and assist the audit process.
  • Manage the development of financial and business reporting (in D365 and power BI, drive the desired change to business process, system enhancement / development activities
To deliver on the above, your resume will demonstrate the following:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Strong analytical and BI reporting skills is essential
  • Highly developed English language skills (reading/writing and oral/aural)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel skills (Pivot and data analysing)
  • Have strong systems experience (large ERP, Power BI), advanced excel/modelling skills. Experience in budgeting, reporting and analysis.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in financial reporting, business analysis
  • Ideally completed CA or CPA
  • lead the definition, elicitation, prioritization and validation of requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the organization
