The opportunity

Icon Water's Communications and Engagement team is looking for a strategically-minded and enthusiastic individual to be our Team Leader Communication Campaigns!

Our team thrives on delivering our water and wastewater communication campaigns to our community to benefit the region.

In this role, you will lead a talented team responsible for our communications content development and digital communication channels to uphold Icon Water’s brand, messaging and reputation.

What would my day look like?

• Leading the team in developing and implementing communication campaign strategies and other communication activities.
• Guiding the team in liaising with internal and external partners to deliver high quality communications on budget and in a timely manner
• Ensure campaign strategies uphold Icon Water’s brand, messaging and reputation to build brand awareness across the Canberra community and surrounding regions.
• Manage the development, implementation, and continued improvement of the digital communications strategy.
• Provide strategic guidance to the team throughout the development of communication campaigns and accompanying creative assets.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Tertiary qualification in communications, marketing or a related discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic communication strategies, paid media campaigns and public relations activities
• Extensive experience in providing high level communication (both oral and written) to internal and external stakeholders of all levels
• Extensive experience as a leader, including developing high functioning, collaborative and cohesive teams
• Experience with online communications, including website and social media
• Experience in writing, proofreading and editing content
• Knowledge of marketing, communications and social media best practice
