The Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group is a key enabler for the Australian Defence Force through the acquisition and through-life support of military equipment and capability.

With a combined Australian Public Service and military workforce of around 5,000 people, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group manages the delivery of more than 150 complex projects and over 100 sustainment products, with an annual budget in excess of $12 billion.

Vital to the success of the Group’s mission is the quality of its relationships with industry. The Defence industry provides critical support to the Australian Defence Force and is fundamental to Defence’s ability to achieve the capability needed to protectAustraliaand its national interests.

Engagement may be negotiated on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis.  To be eligible, an applicant must be, or intend to become, an Australian citizen.  This is a security-designated position.  The successful applicant may be required to undergo security assessments to the highest level.
