The Office of the Director of Government, Policy and Strategy is responsible for managing high-level public policy issues and government relations on behalf of the University.

The University is seeking an Associate Director, Government Relations to strengthen existing relationships with government stakeholders, represent the University’s interests and support policy development, including through written submissions.

The Associate Director works closely with the Director and the Government, Policy and Strategy team to interact with the Australian political landscape and to provide strategic advice to key internal stakeholders, including the Office of the Vice Chancellor.

The successful candidate will have a well-developed understanding of structures and processes of government, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of the tertiary education sector is an advantage but not essential.

The role can be based at any of ACU’s capital city campuses and involves significant interstate travel.

An attractive salary package in the vicinity of $190,000 per year will be negotiated, commensurate with relevant experience, and will include salary, superannuation and leave loading.
