Ships Division, within Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, is seeking highly professional, motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Configuration Managers to support the Commonwealth Government's Naval Shipbuilding program. Ships Division is responsible for a diverse range of shipbuilding and capability upgrade projects, the largest and most complex of which is the procurement of Future Frigates for the Royal Australian Navy.

A Configuration Manager at the EL1 level is sought, with acquisition configuration management experience, to manage and direct the configuration management program outcomes, with a vision to establishing an ongoing major warship build program.

EL1 level staff in the Department are expected to lead others and manage teams.

The successful candidate will be required to travel interstate and overseas.
