Ships Division, within Defence's Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, is seeking highly professional, motivated and experienced self-starters to undertake complex planning, scheduling and control activities, to support the Commonwealth Government's naval shipbuilding projects.

The successful applicants will have an opportunity to be involved in a number of Acquisition Projects, such as, Future Frigates, Offshore Patrol Vessels, Replenishment Ships, Pacific Patrol Boats and Capability Upgrade projects.

Ships Division is seeking applicants with significant experience in complex project planning, scheduling and control related activities. This experience should particularly have been in support of major capital acquisition projects with complex equipment and materiel systems, throughout different project life cycle phases.

The applicants must also have demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills and experience liaising with project teams, in order to assist in the development and management of complex project schedules.

Employment will be offered on an ongoing (permanent) or non-ongoing (temporary) basis.

Employment offered on a non-ongoing (temporary) basis may become ongoing (permanent) at the completion of the non-ongoing contract. Initial contract period will be up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.
