Assistant Secretary Major Programs 3


The Department of Defence is seeking to fill the Senior Executive Service Band 1 position of the Assistant Secretary Major Programs 3 in the Chief Information Officer Group. The position is based in Canberra.

The Assistant Secretary Major Programs 3 is responsible for the management and delivery of key capability to Defence Major ICT projects in the Defence Integrated Investment Program and minor projects. Including, governing the delivery of ICT capability across the corporate (e.g. System and Processes, Human Resources, Vetting, Case, Finance) domains. The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the Business Domain stakeholders and a high level understanding of System and Processes (SAP) to enable the program set up and delivery of SAP capability around Enterprise Resource Program (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Finance, Logistics, Human Resources and Concur is required for this position.

The remuneration package includes superannuation, an Executive Vehicle allowance and, where applicable, relocation expenses. The salary component for this position may be negotiated with the successful candidate within the Defence Senior Executive Service Band 1 salary range.

Engagement may be negotiated on an ongoing basis or for a specified term. To be eligible for ongoing appointment, an applicant must be, or intend to become, a permanent Australian citizen. This position is a security-designated position. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a security assessment to the appropriate level.
