About us:

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) provides air power options for the Australian Government. The Air Warfare Centre (AWC) exists within the Air Force’s Air Command and is critical to establish the RAAF as a modern and fully integrated combat force that can deliver air and space power effects in the information age. The AWC is supported by diverse workforce which includes Air Force, Army, Navy, Public Service and Defence Industry personnel.

The AWC Capability Assurance Directorate provides a focal point for technical and logistics governance support for systems and equipment operated by the AWC, Air Force and across Defence. We manage and develop capability and provide technical and quality assurance and safety management.

About the Role:

As a Director you will lead a team of military and Public Service personnel to deliver capability management, technical governance and logistic support including oversight of AWC engineering, quality and safety management systems. In this role you will be responsible for airworthiness the AWC PC-21 Aircraft, engaging with the aircrew and the commercially contracted maintenance organisation.

You will also lead Air Command’s Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C4I) Capability Management Office ensuring the integrity and enduring availability of crucial Air Command systems. Exploiting your well-developed decision making skills you will develop and influence AWC strategies, policies, priorities and operational practices.
