The Role
As the Assistant Base Manager, you will lead a team working closely with both the Customer and Service Delivery Partners to ensure essential services delivered and our Defence Base and Office environments are maintained to a high standard.

You will work independently with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and be accountable for achieving your deliverables. You will exercise both initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and in the application of practices and procedures.

This role will be suitable if:

About our Team

You will be responsible for leading and developing a small team, accountable for setting, managing and monitoring workflows. You will have experience in developing team capability and confidence through coaching, feedback, encouraging staff to be the ’best they can be’ whilst delivering a professional and consistent service to the customer. 

You will be working with your team to enhance the customer experience. You will be agile in your thinking, proactive in engaging with your peer network and stakeholders as well as actively identifying opportunities to implement improvements to service delivery, meeting current needs whilst looking to the future.

We are looking to fill current vacancies within the ACT Base Management Team and creating a merit pool, which will be drawn from to fill future vacancies.
