The Role
In accordance with guidance and directives provided by Director Operations – Maritime Division, act as principle point of contact (POC) for the day-to-day management of all security and integrity matters across the Maritime Division. The position will perform an array of complex program security and information management functions within an integrated workforce across a number of different facilities and sites.

Key requirements include: an in-depth knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks; government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.

The Program Integrity Manager (PIM) will exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert advice. They will have in-depth knowledge and the ability to develop, and implement, processes to safe guard research and domain integrity within the Division. In addition to this, they will be able to review policies and procedures relevant to the programs / research areas. They will engage in very complex problems and will be expected to solve issues.

They will be required to work and manage sensitive projects that impact on strategic, political or operational outcomes for Defence. The PIM will be responsible for actively managing key stakeholder relationships and will be required to identify relevant stakeholders’ expectations and concerns to develop and communicate methodologies and practices to achieve outcomes.

Maritime Division provides technologies and scientific and technical expertise to deliver the capability edge to the war fighter and enhance the operational performance and survivability of defence platforms in the maritime domain.

The Support Services team in Maritime Division is responsible for delivering advice, guidance and services to a geographically dispersed network of some of Australia’s leading Scientists.

In accordance with guidance and directives provided by the Chief Maritime Division and the Director Operations, the PIM will act as principle point of contact for the day-to-day management of the integrity and security aspects of the Division. Under broad direction the PIM will ensure effective outcomes to the program by developing and implementing integrity/security plans and procedures specific to the program.

The PIM is responsible to lead, manage and develop processes that provide appropriate protection of program information, including ITAR controlled information.

The PIM will be the program contact for all Integrity related activities and will mentor staff in developing skills required for continued work within the program.
