The Role

In this role you will provide the leadership to develop and harness the ability of your team to enhance Australian Defence Force (ADF) maritime capability and deliver agreed outputs to Defence. Using your experience, awareness and knowledge across a broad range of science, you will provide expert, impartial and timely advice which will enhance current and future ADF capabilities. In particular your team will provide operational analysis support to Navy - across force analysis (where you will support decisions on what the maritime component of the joint force of the future will look like); across maritime capability programs (where we track the effectiveness of maritime capability from the current fleet into the future as our own capability changes, as the threat capability changes and the mission set changes) and across the current fleet (where we baseline operational effectiveness and support improvements). As you engage with your stakeholders, you will develop an understanding of their priorities and select the best scientific methods and solutions to meet their needs.
