Introduction
Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) plays a critical role in enabling Defence military and business operations. The Chief Information Officer Group (CIOG) oversees around $2 billion ICT expenditure per annum and the Australian Government is investing over $5 billion in new ICT capabilities in the national security sector over the coming decade.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in successful delivery of significant business outcomes enabled through ICT. They will demonstrate experience in delivering solutions in complex, large scale ICT environments together with a well-developed ability to negotiate outcomes involving diverse stakeholder groups. You will require astute judgement and political awareness, and an ability to influence and provide compelling argument to Defence Senior Leadership. You will also have excellent interpersonal and representational skills, a strong results orientation, resilience, and a proactive approach to professional and organisational development. The Role
The Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program is a major whole of Defence Transformation initiative that will modernise, integrate and transform Defence's capability to efficiently managing its finance, human resource, logistics, engineering, maintenance and estate information functions in support of the Defence mission. It will progressively deliver solutions that will affect every Defence member and transform the way Defence does business and is the most significant business transformation initiative ever undertaken by Defence.

The ERP Program Director is required to lead and deliver the Defence ERP Program scope within schedule and budget, ensuring strategic alignment to the Defence Transformation Strategy. The Program Director will lead a large ERP Program team (>600 personnel) composed of a combination of IT professionals and subject matter experts from Defence and industry partners. You will be responsible for leading the planning and successful implementation of the ERP Program across Defence while managing a significant budget and diverse team of IT and business professionals to deliver significant value to Defence.

Engagement may be negotiated on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis. To be eligible, applicants must be Australian citizens. This is a security-designated position and the successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain a security clearance at Negative Vetting 1.
