The Role

We are looking for motivated Researchers, Engineers & Technologists/Technicians with a passion for learning, working collaboratively and problem solving.  You will have the opportunity to apply your science and technology skills in the areas of Space, Artificial Intelligence (AI) or High Speed Weapons (HSW).   You will engage with talented teams and partners across academia, industry and Government to solve science and technology challenges for Defence.   • Work collaboratively within a small, multi-disciplinary team to assist in generating new knowledge via your research or engineering or technical work to produce enhanced capabilities in the areas of Space, AI or HSW.
  • Use your scientific or technical knowledge to recommend the most effective solution to achieve outcomes.
  • Prepare or contribute to quality reports including briefs, publications and presentations.
  • Support science and technology (S&T) capability through collaboration with other teams and stakeholders including academia, industry and external research organisations.

Merit Pool
A merit pool of suitable applicants will be created to fill current vacant positions. The merit pool may also be used for future positions in the event a position becomes vacant within the 12 months from gazettal date of this position.
