The Role
Defence Mobility is looking for a motivated, high performing and experienced individual to manage the delivery of ICT capability. This is a well skilled and diverse team dedicated to the planning, delivery and support of Defence’s ICT mobility capability.Some of the key duties of this role are:
Manage the Secure Mobility Program:
- Provide oversight of multiple projects and in-service ICT mobile capabilities
- Manage the roadmap of Secret Mobility capabilities for Defence
- Manage and support the delivery of Secure infrastructure projects
- Manage project management tools to ensure the information is maintained, relevant and up to date, including Schedule, Risks and Issues, Project Status Reports, Financial reports, and dependencies.
- Raise exception reports when a project has failed to meet its timeframes and needs to be re-baselined.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and expectations
- Ensure vendors and other supporting teams meet deadlines and timeframes agreed by the project.
- Undertake procurement for services, contractors, hardware and software to support mobility projects
About our Team
The Defence Mobility Team is a multi-disciplinary team within the Chief Information Officer Group responsible for the planning, delivery and operations of mobility capability within Defence. The niche team is responsible for mobile phones, tablets, laptops, mobile applications, remote access solutions and mobile communication services across the various security classifications.
Within the Defence Mobility Team is the Secure Mobility program that is responsible to manage the Defence mobile capability handling up to Secret information. It is our mission to deliver leading edge sovereign capability to support Defence’s mission.
These capabilities have a direct impact to the strategic goals of defence. Secure Mobility is looking for high performing, experienced Project Manager to lead their small but dynamic team. This is a well skilled and diverse team dedicated to the delivery and support of sensitive systems.

Our Ideal Candidate
Secure Mobility is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to manage and oversee the continued delivery of Secret Mobility capabilities for Defence.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Experience delivering ICT infrastructure projects
- Experience with Secret classification ICT capabilities
- Experience with Mobile ICT capabilities
- be capable of working with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders, including national authorities.
- be able to work in a fluid environment by remaining flexible, agile and adaptable
- be able to negotiate outcomes while maintaining relationships
