Electronic Security Systems Technical Lead

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced leader to fill the role of Technical Lead within the Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Operations Section. DPS has over 1000 staff and provides a diverse range of services and functions to support the Australian Parliament and custodianship of Australian Parliament House (APH). 

The Technical Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of building occupants at APH through the effective operational management of ICT systems which support physical security capabilities. The successful applicant will provide strategic direction and leadership of the ESS ICT environment which includes managing a small team.

Applicants should have a highly developed understanding of risk identification and management, and well-developed communication skills, both written and oral. The successful applicant will have a strong attention to detail and place a professional emphasis on the importance of accuracy and completeness, especially with regard to written reports, briefs and technical documentation.
