ICT Infrastructure Support Officers

The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a PSL6/PEL1 ICT Infrastructure Support Officers within Digital Customer Services Branch.

DPS has over 1,000 staff and provides a diverse range of services and functions to support the Australian Parliament and custodianship of Australian Parliament House (APH). These services and functions include but are not limited to, physical security; reporting and broadcasting; library and research services; catering; visitor and art services; and the provision of ICT equipment and services at both APH and at Electorate Offices Australia-wide.

DPS is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and experienced ICT Systems Administrator to fill the role of ICT Infrastructure Support Officer within the Data Centre Operations team. The Data Centre Operations Team is responsible for foundation ICT infrastructure used by Parliamentarians and Parliamentary Department at Australian Parliament House. The team’s focus is on support both on-site and cloud infrastructure compute and storage, server operating systems and physical data centre equipment. The team is also responsible for Backups and Data Protection.

The right candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision, in a team environment and individually, and have proven experience in a range of different ICT eco-systems

DPS is looking for staff that positively contribute to the cultures within the Department and apply practical professional experience when working with a high performing team. Applicants should be highly organised and have experience working within fast paced operational environment to successfully support ICT systems for APH and its occupants.

Please note: The positions advertised are at the PSL6 and PEL1 classi?cations and are not broad banded positions. Candidates will be assessed on their skills and experience and will be o?ered a position at the classi?cation commensurate with their quali?cations and experience.

Our ideal candidates will:

• assist in the work of the Data Centre Operations team, primarily in the support of the Data Centres and backend physical, virtualised and cloud ICT Infrastructure compute and storage, for the Parliament of Australia.
• will have a demonstrated ability to work under limited supervision, in a team environment and individually  
• have proven experience in a range of different ICT eco-systems
• have experience in providing 3rd level support for ICT Infrastructure
