About the Department

This federal government department is charged with the responsibility for national policies and programs that help deliver a strong and fair society for all Australians. The department develops and implements social policy.

Essential:

• Strong analytical problem-solving skills to undertake conceptual modelling
• Demonstrated ability to plan and prepare high quality and timely written advice, briefings, and other material for a range of audiences, including the development of high level and detailed requirements
• Deep technical expertise in programming skills in one or more languages including sql, sas, r or python, stata, scala, spark or other closely related programming languages

Desirable:

• Significant experience in data processing, ETL pipelines and database technologies (e.g. MS SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle)
• Extensive experience working on data migration projects.

What's on offer

The successful candidates will be offered APS6 or EL1 non-ongoing roles employed directly by the department.

As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy, a baseline clearance is required.
