The Opportunity

You will lead a team of Procurement Officers to achieve operational and strategic procurement objectives across the business.  You will ensure effective workflow allocation, act as an escalation and quality assurance point, and provide key information and support to the Department Manager in achieving team objectives and delivery of strategic advice.

This is a permanent full time position that can be located in Hobart, Launceston or Devonport. The position attracts a total remuneration package of $90 - 100K per annum (including superannuation).

Key Accountabilities

• Lead a team of Procurement Officers to deliver best practice procurement and administration functions.
• Lead the development of tender documentation and facilitation of tender evaluations in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage contract negotiation processes with suppliers, vendors and contractors.
• Take a lead role in ensuring that probity across procurement activities within TasWater is in line with Values and Behaviours, Policy and Procedures.
• Assist in developing focused Sourcing Strategies by identifying opportunities, defining current processes, designing new process, identifying benchmarks/metrics and making recommendations for improvements.
