Treasury is well-known for delivering the Budget which shapes all Australian Government services, however we do much more than that. We cover the waterfront of policy – everything from working with the states and territories on significant public policy matters; forming a view about the global and domestic economic conditions; and shaping the tax, superannuation and financial systems that are fundamental to how our economy functions.
As Australia’s leading economic adviser, Treasury serves the Australian people by helping the Government manage domestic and international opportunities and pressures. We also engage widely across all regions and sectors. In leveraging our presence in Sydney, Melbourne and a newly established Perth office, we work to strengthen the Treasury’s links with the business community, non?government organisations, academia and other policy-focussed institutions and consumers.
Treasury also provides some of the best employment opportunities in the public services, across all sectors and regions including key global markets.
