Government outlines $377 million for universities
The Federal Government has announced $377 million in funding for the country’s higher education sector, with regional universities to receive $268 million of the funding.
With state and territory contributions, $873 million will be invested in the country’s university and TAFE sectors.
The following funding has been confirmed:
- $29.8 million for the University of Western Sydney
- $20 million for Charles Darwin University
- $24 million for the University of the Sunshine Coast
- $22.9 million for Victoria University
- $24.8 million for the University of Ballarat
- $32.1 million for Southern Cross University
- $36.6 million for the University of New England
- $25.9 million for the University of Canberra
- $22.3 million for Charles Sturt University
- $48.9 million for the University of Southern Queensland
