Former Coalition staffers say the hiring process at Parliament House brushes over sexism and misogyny.

Female former ministerial staffers say the current hiring system tolerates and silences instances of sexism, and does not support female career progression.

Women have spoken out, telling reporters that ministerial offices are still hiring staff members that are known to have made inappropriate comments in a former role.

They say that at the very least, this man should not keep his current role.
