The Job
As a Distribution & Social Media Producer, you'll be responsible for:
- Curating and producing captivating content tailored for social media platforms, ensuring our stories resonate with diverse audiences.
- Actively participating in community management activities and look for opportunities to start conversations with the audience to drive further commissioning decisions.
- Analysing data and audience insights to optimize content distribution and drive engagement across multiple channels.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including journalists, editors, and designers, to bring our digital news offerings to life.
- Staying ahead of the curve by embracing emerging trends and technologies in the digital landscape.

About You
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- A deep understanding of social media platforms and their communities, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, X and WhatsApp, with a knack for creating shareable and impactful content.
- Exceptional storytelling skills and a keen eye for detail, ensuring our content is accurate, engaging, and aligns with ABC's journalistic standards.
- The ability to effectively moderate comments and engage meaningfully with the online audience
- Proven experience in data analysis and audience insights, using metrics to inform content strategy.
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
