Team Leader Drainage & Development

Bring your leadership skills and specialist knowledge in solving complex problems relating to urban stormwater drainage systems, civil works and developments and join Banyule as the Team Leader Drainage & Development.

The Delivery and Assets team provide a range of services to Council including - maintaining of all Council owned Buildings, responsible for developments and drainage, the management and implementation of Council’s asset protection measures and delivery of the capital works program including roads, footpaths, shared trails, drainage network, buildings and bridges.

As the Team Leader Development and Drainage you will:

  • Supervise and oversee the Developments and Drainage team
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Council’s Stormwater Capital Works Program and provide strategic and policy guidance on stormwater matters

You will have:

  • A Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent Engineering qualification  
  • The ability to lead by example, motivate and work with a diverse team 
  • Knowledge of and experience in strategic catchment analysis and water sensitive urban design initiatives and projects 
  • A proven ability to manage financial resources and staff 
  • Several years’ experience in undertaking hydraulics and hydrology, conventional drainage design, water sensitive urban design and flood mapping/modelling calculations 
  • COVID 19 vaccination certificate
