One of Australia’s Government departments is looking to engage an experienced Data Architect. This position can be based across various locations including ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, and VIC, with flexible working arrangements available. The successful Data Architect will be offered a 12-month contract with 12-month extension option!

The successful Data Architect will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Leading the technical implementation and governance of data architecture within a cloud environment.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to design and approve data delivery frameworks and patterns.
• Providing technical leadership through design reviews, workshops, and guidance on best practices.
• Ensuring data models and architecture align with organizational goals and industry standards.

The successful Data Architect will have experience in the following:

• Strong expertise in Data Architecture, particularly within AWS cloud environments, including S3 and modern cloud warehouse products.
• Proven experience in leading the delivery of cloud Data Lake and Data Warehouse platforms.
• Proficiency in data modelling and providing technical leadership and peer reviews to engineers.
• Experience with DevOps processes, version control, and Agile methodologies.
