One of Australia's leading Federal Government departments are looking to engage a Research Librarian / Research Analyst to work as part of a highly motivated team. The successful Research Librarian / Research Analyst will evaluate and select appropriate data and information sources for use in business strategy, policy, and client work. The successful Research Librarian / Research Analyst will be offered an initial 6-month contract with the view to be extended for a further 6 months. 

The successful Research Librarian / Research Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to: 

• Ability to contribute to the identification of opportunities for new and improved services.
• Proven ability to train, coach and mentor end-users in the use of information resources.
• Awareness of the digital environment and how to engage with clients in a digital first manner.
• Confidently use digital workplace tools to solve problems and collaborate with others.

The successful Research Librarian / Research Analyst will have experience in the following:

• Proficiency in the use of aggregated news and business information databases and proprietary sources
• Experience in the use and handling of data and information in a range of formats for distribution 
• Demonstrated excellence in client service and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to prioritise tasks, organise time and meet deadlines.
