About the client

Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join their busy team for a temporary assignment until June 2025.

About the role

As a Procurement Officer, you will provide level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information. In addition, your key duties are as follow:

  • Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
  • Providing procurement advice and support to the broader Agency.
  • Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and Guidelines, NDIA Procurement Policy and procedures.
  • Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs.
  • Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
  • Drafting correspondence and reports, including emails and letters.
  • Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate Agency reporting.
  • Contributing to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Understanding of procurement processes 
  • Proven Federal, State, or Local Government experience
  • Previous experience using HR and/or Finance business systems
  • Intermediate understanding of the MS Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience managing high volume requests and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to remain composed in a changing, fast paced environment
  • Understanding or lived experience of disability is highly desirable

Benefits

  • $55.24 per hour + super
