Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for an Agile Coach to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.

About the role

As an Agile Coach, you will be accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the Service Design and Improvement functions of the Agency. In addition, your key duties are as follows:

  • Manage project scope and timeline.
  • Work in line with the Agile project approach.
  • Coordinate sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous project and daily scrum stand-ups.
  • Coach team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
  • Work with product owners to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity.
  • Help to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
  • Manage the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.

About you

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach or Scrum Master
  • Background in successfully leading a large program of work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Flexibility in undertaking duties to support the team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varied priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • $602.55 per day + super
