Strategy Officer - Government & Disability

 

About the company:
Our client is a large Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for an experienced Strategy Officer for a 6-month casual temporary assignment with potential for extension.

About the role:

  • Gathering and developing structured insights and recommendations for strategic projects.
  • Developing fact based quantitative and qualitative analysis including modelling in Microsoft Excel.
  • Drafting papers and materials for various internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency.
  • Presenting recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and the senior leadership team
  • Developing action plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment
  • Drafting content to embed change for both policy papers and guidance materials.
  • Collaborating with and supporting business areas to structure problems, inform options and drive solutions and Agency-wide priorities

About you:

  • You will have an excellent critical and strategic thinking ability
  • You will have strong analytical Skills
  • You will have sound problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an ever changing environment
  • You will have previously worked in strategy development, and ideally within a public sector environment
  • You will have a solid track record of working in a project environment and across a complex organisation
  • Experience of living with disability would be desirable

Benefits:

  • ASAP start pending clearance
  • 6-months casual temporary assignment with potential for extension
  • $60.26 per hour plus super
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
  • Flexible working arrangement, hybrid options available
  • Locations - Geelong or Richmond
