APS5 Food Safety Response Officer
We are seeking Food Safety Response professionals at the APS5 level. The ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and should be equipped with robust written and verbal communication.
Position description:
- Providing secretariat support to various meetings, including drafting agendas, papers and minutes.
- Some out of hours work to coordinate recalls.
- Providing input into the preparation of papers and reports.
- Engaging with stakeholders recall activities, including coordinating international notifications as required.
- Undertaking day to day food recall activities, including managing incident/recall email inboxes, undertaking project work, and responding to enquires.
- Well-developed oral communication and writing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Well-developed liaison and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills including secretariat support.
- Confidence to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team and with limited supervision.
- Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
- Appropriate qualifications and/or experience in science, food science/technology and/or emergency management.
- Experience in the food regulatory system.
- Australian Citizen.
