Data and Research Analytics - APS6
About the Role
The Data Analytics team is a small team located at Parliament House, we work in a complex, challenging, and fast paced environment, working collaboratively to achieve our objectives.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will have demonstrated experience or qualifications in a data or research related field preferably in a public service context. Experience designing and analysing research surveys will be highly regarded and the ability to remain apolitical at all times is essential.
Key responsibilities
The key duties of the APS6 Data and Research Analytics include:
- Collaborate and manage relationships with other teams, both internally and externally to achieve work area and agency goals
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to gather data and deliver insights
- Performing research and analysis and using good judgement to make decisions
- Providing subject matter expertise, recommendations and analytical advice to support the evaluation of data and datasets
- Administer research programs covering both qualitative and quantitative elements
- Work with independence, under limited direction against established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes.

Under section 22(8) of the Public Service Act 1999, employees must be Australian citizens to be employed in the Australian Public Service (APS) or, in limited circumstances, in the process of obtaining citizenship.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo the process to obtain and maintain, or continue to hold the required security clearance level for the role as indicated. All Commission staff are required to have a minimum Baseline security clearance prior to commencement.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo a mandatory National Criminal History check as part of the pre-employment eligibility checks.
