- Overseeing design and production organisations.
DASA is a dynamic organisation formed in recent years (see Joint Directive (JD) 21/2021 on our website: https://defence.gov.au/DASP/DASR-Regulations/Default.asp).
You will be able to influence how aviation safety is managed into the future for Defence, and play a part in current aviation capability.
We offer a diverse range of work to develop your career in aviation safety and beyond. Shifting priorities require a high degree of flexibility and open up opportunities to work across DASA teams, allowing you to shape your career progression. Working in the APS is both challenging and rewarding. You can make significant contributions to Australia, whilst supported by flexible employment conditions.

Role 1 – You will apply your critical thinking skills to research and analyse aviation safety policy, and use your experience to determine policy impacts. You are a confident communicator both verbally and in writing, using these skills to develop policy and deliver promotional material to key stakeholders.
Role 2 – You will draw on your broad experience to assess organisational performance and identify safety risks.
