The Role
The Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is seeking a self-motivated, collaborative Data Analyst to support its vital contribution to national security.
This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your data skillset to make a difference that will be felt across government. The Data Analyst will draw meaningful, relevant and timely insights from data; present data through intuitive and interactive dashboards and reports; and identify, develop and present data stories to inform the business, stakeholders and customers. The Data Analyst will form part of the Business Intelligence team, supporting executive decision-making through expertise, insight and trusted advice.

AGSVA is looking for a high calibre candidate to join its Business Intelligence team, positioned within the Directorate of Business Transformation. The successful applicant will join a small team, providing high quality business intelligence, analysis and decision support to AGSVA’s leadership.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- Strong conceptual, analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Experience building complex reports and dashboards using data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Power BI.
- Ability to transform business problem statements into technical problem statements, then communicate the results of complex data analysis to non-technical audiences.
