The Role

SRSPO's Project Management Unit (PMU) is responsible for delivering a significant program of capability acquisitions, including AIR7000 Phase 2 – P-8A Poseidon capability delivery project and common ADF Aeronautical Life Support Equipment upgrades / replacements, over the next 10 plus years. 

As an acquisition Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialists in SRSPO this position will be required to scope and establish project ILS requirements, the oversight of ILS outputs from external service providers embedded in the PMU and the ILS outputs from applicable external industry partners (for example Boeing Defence Australia).

This position will also assist the EL 1 ILS Manager with developing and implementing policy, plans, processes and procedures for the SRSPO acquisition program, as well as performing stakeholder engagement across the PMU to ensure ILS integration in acquisition deliverables.

As a specialist, you will also be expected to assist with the development of the broader ILS workforce, especially for junior officers and graduates.

About our Team
Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO) ensures the availability and performance of highly complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) – including the P-8A Poseidon and the AP-3C (Electronic Warfare) aircraft systems.

SRSPO also acquires and supports common Aeronautical Life Support Equipment (ALSE) used on all air vehicles operated by the RAAF, Navy and Army. In the near future we will also support the MQ-4C Triton, a new remotely piloted high altitude long endurance aircraft system.

Our Ideal Candidate
You will have experience in delivering ILS activities for Defence projects (or similarly complex activities).
