The Indigenous Employment Program (IEO) has announced 220 job training and placements in aged and child care for Indigenous Australians.

Minister for Indigenous Employment and Economic Development Mark Arbib today welcomed the announcement of The Replay Group NSW and VIC 2011 Indigenous Employment Program.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for 220 Indigenous Australians to train and work in the expanding Aged and Child Care fields with great opportunities for long term jobs,” Senator Arbib said.

The Relay Group, which forms part of the IEO, has received $2 million in Federal funding over the next two years to provide part-time and full-time work for Indigenous Australians.

Senator Arbib said the Replay Group was an extremely well regarded training and employment agency. Since 2001 Replay has assisted the government in 18 Indigenous Employment Programs helping close the gap on Indigenous employment.

“The Replay Group’s unique approach guarantees job or part-time position for the 220 participants once their training is complete,” Senator Arbib said.
