The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) will celebrate NAIDOC week by providing free access to Indigenous films across Australia, as well as presenting a selection at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne.

The NFSA’s Black Screen program will bring short films, features and documentaries to screening events, festivals and community celebrations throughout the year. NAIDOC Week is set to be their most intense period, with requests flowing in from all states and territories.

Black Screen Coordinator Andrea Briggs says, “A screening of films from Black Screen is a very easy way to bring people together and engage in discussion on Indigenous issues, promote cultural awareness and see some of our talented Indigenous Australians on screen.”

More information on screenings and booking a session is available on the Black Screen site.
